This simple and easy Naga Axone chutney is sure to be your go-to chutney for any meal whenever you want some spicy side for your meals.

Ingredients:  

  • 100 grams of fermented soybean/axone (buy here)
  • 1 large tomato (can substitute with a handful of cherry tomatoes)
  • 1 dry king chilli (buy here) or any other type of dry chilli as per your taste
  • Salt

Method:

  • Roast the chilies and tomato over a tava over your stove (or over hot ash in your fireplace if you have one!)
  • Add salt to the roasted chilies and tomatoes, and mash them to a paste
  • Now add the axone to the mixture, and gently mash and mix them
  • Hot Axone chutney is ready!
