Potato curry with black sesame paste gives such a flavour boost to the most simplest of universally loved meals - boiled potatoes. How do you make it? Follow the simple steps below:

What you need?

  • For a meal for 2, boil  2 medium potatoes, cut into quarters, giving you 8 pieces
  • Chop 1 medium sized onion
  • 1 tablespoon of ginger garlic paste
  • 2-3 slit green chillies 
  • 1 tablespoon of black sesame seeds paste (Get black sesame seeds here)
  • 1/4 teaspoon of Lakadong Turmeric (Get Lakadong Turmeric powder here)
  • 2 tablespoons of mustard oil 
  • Salt to taste

How to make?

  • In a kadai, heat the oil and fry the onion until golden brown
  • Add the ginger garlic paste, chilli and turmeric and fry for a couple of minutes more
  • Add the black sesame seeds paste and mix everything well 
  • Add the boiled potato cubes and salt
  • Mix well till the potato is coated well with the black sesame mixture

And done! So much flavour in such a simple recipe! Enjoy with a plate of rice
