Perilla is a herb belonging to the mint family. These tiny seeds have twice the omega-3 fatty acids as chia seeds and should be added to your diet. Omega-3 is important for brain functioning and is hard to come by from plant sources. The omega-3 to omega-6 ratio in perilla seeds is 6:1, the highest in any seeds. This traditional spice is widely used in Meghalaya, is full of flavour and is one of our favourites, we are certain you will instantly fall in love with it!
