½ kg smoked beef, cut into medium-sized pieces
½ kg pumpkin, cut into small chunks
1 medium onion, chopped
1 tbsp garlic, minced
½ tsp turmeric
2 tbsp mustard oil (or vegetable oil)
Salt, to taste
Heat oil in a pan or wok. Add the onions and garlic, and sauté for 2-3 minutes, or until softened.
Add the smoked beef and cook it for about 1-2 minutes, or until browned.
Add the pumpkin chunks along with turmeric and salt and sauté it well. Cook over medium-low heat for about 10-15 minutes till the water from the pumpkin dries out.
Serve it hot with steamed rice or roti.
